Aligning Energy and Priorities
I honor my time, energy, and commitments with intention and care.
Surges of energy are moving through us, urging us to take action. The full moon in Gemini invites us to not only reflect on what we want to create and cultivate but to physically engage, using our minds, hands, hearts, and spirits to build our future.
Now is the perfect time to discern what truly matters to you.
As we daydream and feel into the infinite possibilities for our lives, relationships, and the world at large, we may find ourselves cycling through one idea after another. In the abundance of potential, it can be easy to exhaust ourselves, attempting to go everywhere at once without taking clear steps in any one direction.
Feeling uncertain? Overflowing with ideas? Torn in different directions?
The mind may race, flowing through vivid visualizations of the experiences we long to have, the skills we wish to refine, and the people we hope to meet. Meanwhile, our hearts call us to expand into more feeling, aligning with love, belonging, peace, joy, bliss, or excitement. While our spirits crave embodiment of purpose creating meaning through each breath and action, weaving magic into the mundane, and syncing with the rhythms of life and the web of connection.
When we explore the overlap of these subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, beckonings, we can begin to gain clarity on where to direct our energy. This allows us to honor the wholeness of who we are, embracing all our desires, while focusing on the actions that re-energize us and bring the greatest fulfillment.
Life also asks us to tend to daily responsibilities: the work, family, and commitments that anchor our days. These might not always be things we “want” to do, but they require our energy too. By bringing a sense of presence into these moments, we can often even find fulfillment in the simple acts of doing.
When our energy isn’t intentional, we lack presence, or resist what we are actively doing, we can become scattered or depleted. We might be investing time and resources into numbing tasks, draining relationships, or projects that are no longer aligned with our integrity or interest. It might be helpful throughout the day, to try paying attention to how you feel and notice what situations might be siphoning your energy.
By aligning our energy with what nourishes and inspires us, we can make sustainable strides toward our creations and amplify our impact.
Journaling Practice:
In your journal or on a piece of paper, draw a Venn diagram (see below).
In the “Mind” circle, list:
All the tasks you think you must do each day
What you envision for your future
In the “Heart” circle, list:
How you would like to feel each day (emotions and body sensations)
In the “Spirit” circle, list:
Your callings or what provides you with a sense of purpose
The impact you want to have on others, your community, or the world
In each of the overlapping sections, write how these aspects intersect. Allow this process to be more creative than logical and see what insights emerge.
In the center, note how these elements overlap as a whole. Pay attention to how you feel when you focus on this section. How can this insight guide your decisions and help you direct your attention moving forward?
